July 4th Celebration on the 8th

Our famly had to learn while I was growing up to celebrate holidays when we were all together. Since my dad worked 30 days on and 30 days off we would celebrate when he was home. So this year we celebrated July 4th on the 8th. We had a simple meal of charcoal grilled hamburgers. Dad passed out the burgers and we just walked around the table and got what we wanted on our plates. It was sort of like musical chairs.

This is Dave's son Tyler, Dave and Lynn

The first rattle out of the box my brother told a funny story. He always has a story or joke to tell, he does his best to clean them up but sometimes he just can't. His jokes are always hilarious.

I am so glad David Ray and Tyler came to the celebration. I love those boys and missed them when they weren't around for a few years.
After we ate dinner the boys went out to the garage and found the 4 wheeler that Mom and Dad bought when the first grandkid was born. Even thogh it was just  a 50 cc, they had a great time riding it.

After riding for awhile the boys went exploring in the garage. They had heard rumors of the Norton Motorcycle, Papa took them in the garage and uncovered it for them to see.

They were so excited to see it.

Dad brought the chairs out of the garage, we spent a long time sitting and talking. Every once in a while the boys would wander into the house and come out with a burger or a rib. It is wonderful that we feel so comfortable that we can eat what we want, when we want.

Since Dad is the world's best detailer Tyler had a few questions about how to clean his bike. So it wasn't long until they were both cleaning the bike.

Since this wasn't about a bike ride I have no View from the Back.

Until Next Time!

Looks like a good time was had by all.
We didn't see a firecracker one...due to the burn bans in Arkansas. :(
