Friday Night Dinner Ride July 6th,2012

This was a weird week, who ever heard of putting a holiday on Wednesday. Even though it was a short week, with only 4 work days, we had 2 Monday's. So when Friday night rolled around, I was so ready for a ride. Our friend Larry organized this ride to Bill's Catfish. Around lunch I got a text from him, his brother had bought a bike from Fort Thunder, and he was going to ride up with his brother, then ride the bike home for him. His brother hadn't ridden in a few years. Then I got another text about 4:30, just getting to Ft. Thunder, Ok. We were supposed to meet at 6. Will Larry make it back by then?  I don't think so.  We moved the time back by 30 minutes to 6:30, so maybe he can make it. There were a bunch of texts and phone calls from 5-6, then at 6 we got a phone call, one of the couples was waiting at our regular meeting place. Keith and I got there a little after 6 and had a great visit while waiting. Doug and Twana got there about 6:30 and the decision was made..."let's go eat" . Larry was on his way home from OKC and we were driving 30 minutes south, if there is a wait they can make it. When we got to Bill's there was a 30-45 minute wait. So we called them and said we would get a table. It wasn't long before we got a text with their food order.

We got a table and found out it was the 50th anniversary, the special was all you can eat for $12.49.
Did you know when you order onion rings, you get asked a ton of questions; small or large, thick or thin, then we started making up our own questions, red or yellow, sweet or hot.
Larry and Carla made it before we got our food, all is well.

We had a great visit with lots of laughs. As we were getting on the bikes to head back home someone said lets go to Braums for ice cream when we get back to Duncan. We were heading up the highway, almost to Comanche, when brake lights were all going on. There were deer on both sides of the road. I was actually reading at the time, so I almost didn't see the deer.
We made it safely to Duncan and Braums.

Even though the evening started out strange, it ended well. A great time was had by all.

Until Next Time.
