Friday the 13th Dinner Ride

You could tell it was Friday the 13th, I had weird things happen all day long at work.
We were riding to Norman to eat at Sandro's Pizza. It was hot when we left Duncan, about 103. The ride according to maps was 1 hour 20 min., so we could handle it.
We arrived just on time at 6:30. You could smell the garlic from outside...yum yum. Sandro's is in the middle of enlarging their restaurant, and OH NO, the airconditioning on the new side was out. So it was a little warm. They obviously have a lot of take outs, because the sit down area was quite small. Our group of 18 took up almost the entire seating area.

Since our group was so large, the Duncan group got to sit at the 'kid's table'. We were the last in the door and since we hadn't been there before, it took us a while to decide on what we wanted to eat.  Not a problem, we took a table next to the wall. It worked out well.

You could buy pizza by the slice, whole pizza's, pasta dishes, or stromboli's. I saw some of each on the table. Keith ordered the pasta sampler, and I ordered the Margherita Pizza (tomato with basil, mozzarella and garlic) my favorite. The vampires will not attack me tonight. Troy and Janie ordered the Family size stromboli, it was bigger than your head, enough for a family of 4 or more.

Larry and Carla ordered a pizza with Canadian bacon, pineapple, and hamburger. The boys got pizza by the slice so they didn't have to wait on their dinner.
It wasn't long before Diane finished her slice and came to visit at our table, then Chuck, then Jennifer. We didn't feel ostracized at all. As we were finishing our meal, Jennifer asked if we were going to Taco Cabana. Why would you eat at one place and then go to another eating place you may be asking your self.
I will tell you... Taco Cabana has Marguerita's, chips and salsa, and you can sit and visit in the cool for hours. She called to make sure they had Marguerita's and they even had the strawberry ones. So when we left Sandro's, we went to Taco Cabana for some a/c and more good fellowship. It wasn't long until the group divided into men and women. We got to talk about beads, jewelry, and shopping. I don't what the men were talking about. Before we knew it 10 o'clock had rolled around and we thought we should head home. Before we headed out phone numbers were exchanged, and we sort of made plans for a girls day to shop.
We had a wonderful ride home, the temperature was perfect. I stayed awake until we got on the south side of Rush Springs, and I woke up before we got into Duncan.

 View from the Back!

Until next time.

Glad you were able to make it, and great that you brought Larry and Carla. Hated that it took "forever" to get their pizza. :( Hope they show up with you guys again. Had a great evening. Looking forward to "girls day".
