Here it comes!!!

It is Friday and we have not been able to join the FNDR for about 3 weeks. We decided today we were going to try and get off work in time to make the dinner, and more importantly, see our friends. Keith had to mow today, so he was taking a shower when I got a text from Diane saying "hope u r in a cage because the wind and dirt is terrible". So we got in the cage and headed out.
We had only gotten about 5 miles out of town, when we looked ahead and this is what we saw.
The picture doesn't show it very good, what we were seeing was brown dirt coming our way. In less than 1 mile the temperature dropped 10 degrees. I am so glad we decided to take the cage and not the bike, because the wind was really blowing Basil around and the dirt was terrible. It was a dust storm.

We were headed to Moore to eat at Earl's Rib Palace. We have never eaten there, but anything with ribs has to be good. When we got there, I had the stuffed baked potato and Keith had the brisket sandwich with fried okra. It was very good, another place we will have to add to our good places to eat list. After we ate there was talk about going to Taco Cabana. We love to go there because we can sit for a couple of hours and drink a soda or margarita and eat some chips and salsa, and maybe some sopapilla's and just visit.
As we were driving, the lighting was making a great show. We really didn't get any rain, just a wonderful light show. Our Taco Cabana group was small tonight, just Diane and Chuck, Diana and Chris, and Keith and I.
I'm not sure how long we sat there, but it was great. All too soon it was time to head home. The lights in bricktown were great.
I did learn a very important thing as I was trying to get a picture of the Devon tower, don't flash your husband in the eyes in the dark. The flash accidently went off and Keith was blinded for a few seconds. OOPS

Until Next Time!

So glad you didn't have to "eat" that dust....It was really bad. Glad you guys got to make it...Food is always pretty darn good at Earls. LOL...I feel like we should all write a review for all the places we eat on our FNDR... :)
